50 Year Milestone for our Anti-Fouling Department!

We’re excited to be celebrating 50 years of our Cuprion® marine anti-fouling system at Cathodic Protection Co. Limited!

Developed in the early 1970s, the Cuprion® system was first installed on the BP Forties field. The first installation covered the fire water pumps, cooling water pumps and sea water supply pumps. Over the years, it has been used on various platforms, including the Forties Alpha Satellite Platform (FASP) in 2013 on the sea water lift pumps.

Despite changes in pump designs and upgraded caissons, we have continued to supply replacement electrode units for the past 50 years!
